Our engagements integrate four focus areas. Together, they help you see where you are, decide where you want to go, build the plan to get there, and execute.

Focus Area 1: Financial Performance

See where you are and what direction you're headed.

  • Financial performance reports. Revenue, expenses, and profitability explained in plain language.

  • KPI identification and tracking. The handful of numbers that matter for your brand, not 40 you ignore.

  • Product and channel profitability. True margins by product line and sales channel, including freight, duties, and other landed costs.

  • Budget-to-actual analysis. How results compare to the plan, and what’s driving the gap.

  • Management meetings. A monthly working session to review results and decide next steps.

Focus Area 2: Strategic Analysis

Decide where you want to go, and make informed, confident decisions.

  • Pricing analysis. How price changes affect margin, volume, and cash.

  • Scenario planning. Best case, worst case, and “what if we double wholesale?” “What does it look like if we hire another employee?”

  • Launches and expansion. New products, channels, and markets.

  • Funding and sale readiness. Three to five year forecasts and reporting for banks, lenders, investors, or buyers.

Focus Area 3: Budgeting & Forecasting

Build the plan to get where you want to go.

  • Annual budget. A benchmark for performance and a tool for intentionally putting resources behind products, channels, and spending.

  • Rolling 12-month forecast. Updated monthly, so you always look ahead in a way that’s realistic and flexible.

Focus Area 4: Inventory & Cash Planning

Execute, boots on the ground.

  • 13-week cash flow management. A short-range view so you see crunches before they arrive.

  • Working capital planning. How much cash each buy requires and when it comes back.

  • Inventory analysis. What's turning, what's sitting, and what it's costing you.

  • Demand and purchasing forecasts. Buy plans tied to seasonality and sales expectations.

  • Supplier terms. Modeling the cash impact of deposits, minimum orders, lead times, and payment terms.

How It Works

  1. Intro call. Free, 30 minutes. We talk through your business and what you need.

  2. Financial review. We look at your books, sales, and inventory to see what we're working with.

  3. Build the plan. Forecast, budget, cash plan, and KPIs, set up for your business.

  4. Monthly rhythm. Updated reporting and a working session to keep the plan current.

What To Expect

A flat monthly retainer. No long-term contract. Mostly remote with monthly virtual calls, but we are in the Mountain West so can visit in-person when helpful.

Clean books support: Good planning depends on timely and accurate books. If yours need support, we can add a cleanup and/or monthly bookkeeping service to our engagement to keep your financials clean and timely. This is offered only as part of a planning engagement on an as-needed basis.
